George Washington University: Resource Library
Web development & design, Education Technology

Challenge:

The George Washington University Milken Institute School of Public Health has hundreds of resources for its students, faculty, researchers and staff. Those time- and audience-specific materials lived on the public website, alongside information intended for prospective students and the general public. The web team wanted to create a password-protected destination where Milken Institute users could efficiently find, save and share the files they needed.

Solution:

idfive designed a website that allows the web team to curate content, organizing files by audience, category, publication date and resource type (PDF, jpeg, Word, etc.). The additional context, including a detailed description field, improves search results and provides users with more information about available resources. We also facilitated single sign-on authentication, so everyone with a Milken Institute account has a seamless user experience.
