Two Promotions Elevating Client Services at idfive

By idfive \ May 28, 2025

Great client service rarely gets the spotlight. Nobody throws a parade because a timeline stayed on track. Clean status reports do not get theme songs. And somehow, keeping 47 open action items from becoming 48 is not considered a public service. Still, great work depends on people who bring clarity to chaos. It needs people who keep teams moving, spot problems early, and help everyone feel a little less stressed along the way. That’s why we’re celebrating two promotions in client services at idfive. Please join us in congratulating Katelyn “KJ” Brickey on her promotion to Director of Client Services and Jodi Hey on her promotion to Assistant Vice President, Client Services.

Recognizing Client Services at idfive

Some people become experts in a creative discipline. KJ became an expert in idfive. Since joining the agency as an intern in 2011, she has touched just about every kind of project we do. That includes website launches, content migrations, campaigns, brand work, environmental graphics, quality control, and the many details nobody notices until they start making noise. The thing about KJ is that she makes difficult work feel manageable. When projects get complicated or timelines get tight, she helps steady the room. Then she helps get the work done. “Anyone who has worked with KJ knows that her impact goes far beyond project management,” said Andrés Zapata, founder of idfive. “If you’ve ever wondered who keeps clients smiling, teams aligned, and impossible timelines from becoming actual impossibilities, there’s a decent chance the answer is KJ.”

KJ’s Director of Client Services Promotion

Over nearly 15 years, KJ has become someone idfive relies on for both the big-picture read and the tiny-detail reality check. She is not always the loudest voice in the room. However, she is often one of the steadiest. Her promotion to Director of Client Services recognizes the leadership she has already been showing for years. It also reflects the trust she has earned from clients and colleagues alike. Most of all, it recognizes the impact she continues to have on every project she touches.

Jodi’s AVP, Client Services Promotion

Jodi Hey is one of those rare agency people who knows how things actually work. Not theoretically. Not only on the org chart. Not buried in a process document that has been living in Google Drive since 2018. Actually work. Over the past decade at idfive, Jodi has become one of the agency’s most trusted leaders. She brings strategic thinking, creative problem-solving, and an almost suspicious ability to keep complex work moving forward. With more than 15 years in Baltimore’s marketing community, Jodi brings deep experience across web, print, experiential design, media, events, content strategy, and client service. In other words, there are very few challenges she has not seen before or figured out how to solve. “Over the years, Jodi’s kept the wheels turning by chipping in wherever help was needed,” said Andrés. “Her deep knowledge and experience across web, print, marketing, and client relations make her one of several secret weapons in our arsenal.”

Elevating the Work Behind the Work

Throughout her time at idfive, Jodi has helped guide work for organizations including Johns Hopkins University, the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, Maryland Food Bank, the Smithsonian Institution, and the Baltimore Police Department. Even so, what stands out most is not any single project. It is the consistency. The willingness to jump in. The ability to connect dots. The confidence clients feel when she is leading the work. Together, KJ and Jodi represent the kind of client services at idfive that makes the work stronger, the process smoother, and the teams around them better. Promotions are about titles, yes. But they are also about trust, growth, and the impact people make long before a new title becomes official. Congratulations, KJ and Jodi. We’re grateful for your leadership, your loyalty, and your very real ability to keep the wheels turning without making it look like the wheels were ever in danger.
