University Of Baltimore And idfive Create A PokemonGO Hotspot At Artscape

By idfive \ July 1, 2017

UB and idfive to sponsor 18 hours of Pokemon lure modules at Artscapes’s Gamescape exhibition.

The University of Baltimore and Baltimore advertising agency idfive will turn Artscape into fertile hunting ground for Pokemon Go players as part of the university’s Gamescape exhibit. Throughout the weekend, UB and idfive will place Pokestop lures at the University’s Student Center and the Edgar Allan Poe statue, both located on the corner of Mt. Royal and Maryland Avenues. Lures will be active continuously from 12p to 6p on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

“We’re really excited by the diverse and welcoming community Pokemon Go has created—gamers, non-gamers, all levels, all backgrounds coming together to have fun,” said idfive Creative Director Matt McDermott.

In its second year sponsoring Gamescape, UB will also host an interactive exhibition dedicated to the gamer experience— Visitors can browse and interact with selected video games from local and national video game developers, as well as play more than 30 classic arcade games.

Gamescape’s theme will imagine what a Baltimore space colony of the distant future might look like. Visitors will have a chance to take photos with aliens and Hon-bots, imagine a future where a swim in the Inner Harbor adds years to their lives, and discover the types of majors college students might pursue 800 years from now.

And did we mention there will be Pokemon?
